There are limited clinical trials addressing the effects of photodynamic therapy (PDT) as an adjunct to conventional scaling and root planing (SRP) on clinical and biological features of periodontitis. This trial compares clinical parameters and cytokine profiles in the gingival crevicular fluid of patients with moderate to severe chronic periodontitis (CP) treated using SRP alone or SRP + PDT.

Problem Statement: Replacement of missing or missing teeth with dental prostheses supported by dental implants has been accepted and has received positive evaluations from implant-treated patients.
Purpose: The purpose of this study was to investigate the level of awareness of patients about dental implants among a selected sample of dental patients in Tabriz city.
Materials and methods: 150 patients were selected from among those who referred to the Faculty of Dentistry in Tabriz. Patients' knowledge about dental implants was evaluated through a questionnaire.

A total of 217 restorations that required replacement were evaluated clinically and radiographically in a period of 4 months.
